Software Engineer

We started Verra because too much of the time in professional services goes to rebuilding work a firm has already done. We're building toward firms where every team starts from what the whole firm knows, and spends its hours on the thinking clients hire them for.

One of Verra's first engineers. Engineers here own product decisions and make them with the firms that use Verra, then build and ship the result themselves.

• Ship features end to end. Talk to the people running a consulting firm on Monday, scope a feature on Tuesday, ship it on Thursday.
• Own product decisions and make them with customers directly.

• You've put real software in front of real users and watched it break. We care that you've shipped something people have depended on.
• Strong backend and platform engineering experience.
• Experience with Python, cloud infrastructure, SQL databases and API development.
• Experience working with LLMs, agentic frameworks and RAG.
• You read a customer email, work out what they actually need and ship the right fix, not just the literal fix they asked for. You'll be told what we're trying to accomplish, and the rest is yours.

• $150K to $350K base salary, and meaningful equity.
